Of course, I’m unable to interview under 18s for my research! So do I now change topics completely or concentrate on body dissatisfaction on adults when comparing themselves to the skinny models etc????  Back to research…

The Distorted Mirror

And so it begins……

I am at present attempting to narrow down my choice of research question for my dissertation next year. My main area of interest is how we view ourselves in relation to others, and how adolescents in particular are influenced by celebrity culture and advertising. After reading “The Distorted Mirror: Reflections on the Unintended Consequences of Advertising”, I felt inspired to choose this as my research topic, however narrowing it down to a few research questions is proving problematic
